Written by Matt Berry (music) and Richard Ayoade, it was shown on TV at Christmas 2004 on BBC Three - Richard Ayoade also directed it - and has continued to attract a growing number of avid cult comedy fans every since.
With a comic twist, this familiar story is brought to life through the eyes of the innkeeper (Matt Berry). Despairing after a bad year, he contemplates suicide but his attempt is stalled by a voice from above who points out that King Herod is coming to town.
